Hey guys!
So I thought I should start posting monthly TBRs & wrap-ups from now on! I think this would help me keep track of my reading goal, reviews and make my posting schedule less haywire-y than it is now. I would absolutely love to hear any useful tips and/or feedback that you guys may have for me.
Enough with my rambling, now on with the TBR! This month I plan to read:
Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur
—> Genre: Poetry
—> This is a well-known & loved poetry book amongst the YA blogger community. I’ve not been exposed to poetry written in English other than the school assigned work, so I’m really excited to read this one!
My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman
—> Genre: Literary Fiction
—> This a story about seven year old Elsa & her adventure after her grandmother passes away leaving a mission for her to complete. I’ve read a couple pages and I have loved what I have read so far. This sounds like a beautiful story and the plot is very promising.
Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
—> Genre: Graphic Novel, Action & Adventure, Fantasy
—> I love graphic novels and have heard nothing but great things about it! This follows Nimona, an adolescent shape-shifter who teams up with the notorious villain, Lord Blackheart on pursuit of bringing down Sir Ambrosius. I talk more about the plot here.
Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
—> Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, YA
—> This is a sequel to Illuminae by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff. I can’t wait to read this. The story picks up right after the first one, except we follow different main characters. Gemina has also the same unique writing style as did Illuminae.
I will post non-spoiler reviews of each of these books as I read them and briefly talk about them in my wrap-up!
Happy reading!

Illuminae and Gemina sound pretty intriguing. I hadn’t heard of them before. I’ll check them out.
I’ve got around 5 books going right now. That’s probably not a good thing, but there are several things I wanted to read at the same time. And a couple of the books are not as engaging as I thought they’d be, so they’re taking longer to read.
Also, I shared the “Real Neat Blog Award” with you. You can see it here: https://doingthewritething.wordpress.com/2017/07/08/thats-just-neat/ . Of course, there’s no pressure to accept the award. 🙂

Thank you so very much for nominating me! I’ve actually already done that award before. & you should definitely check illuminae out! The length may look intimidating but it’s actually not a lot of text to read so it’s a fairly fast read. Also, the story is so engaging that it sucks you right in!

😂 These awards get around.
I’m definitely going to check Illuminae out. As soon as I finish the group of books I’m reading now. 😳

I know. If only we could duplicate ourselves so we can read more at the same time. 😂

I used to post monthly TBRs. I just didn’t post one in the past month because I was still trying to finish May’s books. Haha.
I usually make a video of it for my Booktube channel. If you’d like to see my May TBR, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/pE1zz5sef9w
